Birthday presents for baby stolen out of mom’s car. Then the police showed up.

While little Wyatt may be too young to remember his recent birthday party or who gifted him his bright red slide, his parents will likely never forget the officers who stepped in to save the day.

An officer with the Prince William County Police Department of Virginia, responding to a larceny call over this weekend, quickly realized that one little boy’s birthday presents had all been stolen.

Upon arriving at the scene, Wyatt’s mother informed Officer Richards that someone had entered her vehicle overnight and taken all of her son’s presents, according to FOX 29.

Officer Richards and his fellow officers were quick to rise to the occasion and ensure that Wyatt’s special day went off without a hitch by purchasing new gifts for the birthday boy.

“Without hesitation, Officer Richards and fellow squad mates purchased new gifts just in time for the birthday!” the department shared on their Facebook page, along with a picture depicting a delighted Wyatt. “From everyone at #PWCPD, we want to wish Wyatt a very HAPPY BIRTHDAY!”

The Prince William County Police Department did not immediately respond to Yahoo Lifestyle’s requests for comment, but plenty commenters on the original Facebook post were quick to sing their praises.

“Can’t love this enough. Way to go PWCPD. Happy birthday little one,” one person shared. “PWCPD, you guys are amazing and thank you for all you do for our community,” another wrote.
